Ginger paste – 1 tsp

Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 tsp

Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1 tsp

Mustard seeds/ Rai – 1 tsp

Green chilies (finely chopped) – 3 pieces

3)Now add the capsicum, onion and tomato and saute till the oil separates. Now add the garam masala powder and salt and mix it well.

4)Now add the khichidi to this and remaining 1 cup of water and mix it all well.

5) In small pan add the ghee/clarified butter, dry red chilies, chopped garlic and red chili powder and once it is warm pour this tempering/tadka on the khichidi and mix it in gently. Serve warm.
