Hey guys! I recently took a small vacation to my native place Kutch, Gujrat and it was the season of Dragon fruit there. Here in Mumbai we get the white pulp dragon fruit and there we get red pulp in the fruit and tastes sweeter than the white pulp. So I decided to bring a few back with me and I made a sorbet out of the fruit and it was so very delicious. You can make this sorbet with white pulp also but if you can get your hand on the red pulp dragon fruit do try it out. Sorbet is dessert which is made by using frozen fruits and served chilled. It is icy and slushy in nature and the best dessert for summers. So lets get cooking..
Ingredients:
Dragon fruit – 4
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Salt a pinch
Method:
1) Remove the pulp from the dragon fruit and chop and freeze it for 2 hours.
2) Now in a grinder take the frozen dragon fruit, sugar, lemon juice and churn it till it is slushy.
3) Now take this out in a container and freeze it for 6-7 hours. Scoop and serve chilled.
