Hey guys! The rainy season is almost upon us and with the season comes the craving to have hot pakoda’s. I have posted many pakoda recipes before. This recipe is a famous Andhra street food usually made using idli batter. I have used my rava urad dal batter the link for the batter is posted below. These pakoda’s are so simple to make and extremely tasty. Serve it hot with filter coffee or tea during pouring rain’s outside. The batter used in this recipe should have very less water so while grinding the batter use very little water (I have used only 2-3 tbsp for grinding). If using ready idli batter do not add water to it. So lets get cooking….

Ingredients:
Idli batter – 2 cups
Onions (finely chopped) – 2 medium
Capsicum (finely chopped) – 1 large
Cabbage (finely chopped) – 1 cup
Green chilly (finely chopped) – 2-3 pieces
Ginger-Garlic paste – 2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Cooking soda/Soda bi Carb – 1/4 tsp
Oil for frying
Method:
In a bowl mix together all the ingredients. In a wok take oil for deep frying. Let the oil become hot. Drop a little of the batter in the oil if it comes up instantly the oil is ready. Now drop small dollops of the batter in the batter using a spoon or hand and let it fry till golden brown on high flame. Do not turn the pakoda in the oil till it comes up on its own. Serve hot.
