Cold Coffee shake

Hey guys…this recipe has a story of my friendship behind it. I have always been used to drinking coffee never have I ever had tea in my life. When I joined college for pursuing law my friends mostly were tea drinkers except one. This one friend is a very close friend of mine and we had a habit of spending our Sundays lazing around at my place. Now she is a foodie and I loved cooking and experimenting. So I started experimenting with coffee recipes with her. Her all time favorite has always been cold coffee. Whenever she was around she would ask for cold coffee and she still remembers it. Though now due to many other responsibilities added we happen to meet less but I still miss serving her cold coffee. This inspired me to start trying different coffee recipes and this recipe is one of those. So this recipe is dedicated to our friendship and all those Sundays filled with fun. Easy to make and very delicious recipe…lets get slurping then….

Ingredients:

Chilled milk- 2 cups

Instant Coffee Powder- 1-2 tbsp depending on your preference

Powdered Sugar- 1 tbsp

Chocolate sauce – 1 tsp

Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp

Vanilla/Chocolate Ice-cream- 1 scoop

Cream- 1 tbsp

Cocoa powder (Optional)- 1 tsp

Ice cubes

Chocolate sauce, whipped cream for garnishing

Method:

1) In a blender jar take the milk, coffee powder, powdered sugar, cream, vanilla essence, cocoa powder , ice cream and chocolate sauce, ice and blend it together. You can add ice seperately also in a glass instead of adding it in blender.

2) In a glass of choice pour the above made coffee and ice if not added in blender.

3) Garnish as desired and serve chilled.

  10. I am an ardent coffee lover. So you can just imagine what this recipe did to me. I was drooling over it as I read. But a wonderful thing happened just now. My daughter read it over my shoulder and said, ‘Mom, you like it? I will make it for you’. I could just nod my head in affirmation. I bond with my daughter over these coffee shakes and your recipe just helped in making the bond better. thanks for sharing #readbypreetispanorama
